 The occasion marked the
handling of the first flight by the newly formed Bahrain Airport Services.
That was fifteen years ago. Today Bahrain Airport Services, or BAS, as it has come
to be known, is one of the six major employers in the State of Bahrain. Time and
events have moved quickly in these past fifteen years, but BAS look back at the
past with pride of performance and progress, and looks forward
to the future, ready to face new challenges and opportunities.

BAS is committed
to provide" Total Ground Support" for all aircraft and passengers using Bahrain
International Airport. Its Traffic Development handles an average of 18,000
flights and 3 million passengers in a year; the Cargo Department handles
82,000 tones of cargo; the Catering Department prepares approximately
3 million meals in a year.
Beside
all these commendable levels of performance lie the conscieniuos, well- planned and tireless efforts of
a team of dedicated professional managers, and a motivated, enthusiastic staff, who have carried the company from humble beginning in 1977, to the major corporate enjitiy that it is today.
